The main focus of the higher education counselling of the AStA FU is on the subject areas:
- Admissions and university placements (lawsuits),
- Compulsory and audit advice,
- Vacation semester,
- Change of compartment,
- Examination problems,
- Graduation,
- mandatory Attendance ,
- as well as any kind of incorrectness or violation of the FU internal statutes and study regulations by lecturers or organs of the FU, if these lead to disadvantages in the studies for students
The aim of the higher education counselling is to inform students about their rights during their studies and to support them in conflicts with lecturers and the FU administration.
Questions about BAföG or dealing with HartzI-IV and Jobcenter are not part of the higher education counselling service - we only advise on problems at and with the FU, possibly also with other universities.
Every second week the counselling takes place with legal support. Appointments are made in the regular counselling or by E-mail. There is no need for an appointment during regular counselling. The legal counselling by a lawyer deals only with the above mentioned topics. If you need legal advice on any other topic, the General legal counselling might be able to help you.
In urgent cases we will try to answer by E-mail.
